Love and Roses with Sally Bayless

LoveRoses_FC2Can new love bloom amid the roots of pain and loss?

Young widow Abby Kincaid treasures the past, both the antiques she sells in her shop and the tender memories of her late husband. When she learns that her hometown plans to sell historic Rose Park, a place central to her marriage, she vows to stop the sale.

Nate Redmond, a former Manhattan lawyer, is eager for a fresh start in small-town Missouri. With his extensive background, arranging the sale of outdated Rose Park for retail development looks easy, the perfect way to help the town fund the larger recreational space it needs. His role in the deal might even impress Abby, the pretty new neighbor he feels so drawn to.

But as Nate and Abby clash over the park, more serious obstacles threaten their relationship. Mistakes that Nate had hoped to forget continue to haunt him. Abby comes face to face with her failure to forgive. And how can Nate compete with the memory of a decorated war hero?

When the park battle brings on a crisis, can they each find the courage to believe in a God of second chances and a future where their love can grow?

Friendly Persuasion Back Cover Blurb:

Friendly Persuasion EThey were buddies, not sweethearts…

In 1958, the job of an airline stewardess beckons Joyce Williams with its offer of travel and mobility. Being a stewardess would be her escape route from a boring life in her small hometown in East Tennessee. She would only return to her hometown if her best friend Wayne Mahan lived there instead of in Nashville—until she receives an invitation to her ten-year high school reunion.

At the reunion when Wayne tells Joyce he’s always loved her, she fears he’s doomed their childhood friendship. Wayne must persuade her that God’s timing has finally brought them together as He planned.

A charming story of enduring friendship and genuine devotion. You will root equally for Joyce and Wayne!

Dreams of My Heart with Barbara J. Scott

Scott-1DreamsofmyHeartFrontFinalCan A Reluctant Bride and Her New Husband Fall in Love Despite Their Wounded Hearts?

Plucky Irish immigrant Kate O’Brien struggles to hang on to her brother’s homestead after his death in a suspicious cattle stampede. If she’s unable to pay off the loan that paid for her ticket to America, she will be forced to marry the banker’s rogue son, Rafe Hamilton.

When Kate is attacked by a drunken gang, salvation comes in the form of a total stranger—Texas cattleman Buck McKean. He drives the men off her ranch and spends the night in her cabin to keep her safe. However, his act of kindness poses a profound threat to her reputation, and the two marry to prevent the impending consequences.

Kate makes it clear to her new husband that because of the abuse she suffered at the hands of her stepfather, she’ll never allow another man to control her life. Left at the altar in Virginia City, Buck has made his own vow never to give his heart to another woman.

When Kate asks Buck for the unthinkable, her choice endangers both their lives.
Can God mend their hearts and save their love?

Spring Reads What’s on Your List?

I had intended to post new releases from ACFW writers this week, but I wasn’t sent the list in time. I thought instead it would be fun to find out what you are reading.

I’ve recently started listening to audio books, and I even had one of my books made into an audio book. That was fun! If you want to take a listen here’s the link.

If you missed the post last month, I announced the release of The Reluctant Groom.

Reluctant Groom ebook coverWhen everything goes wrong, can two friends discover true love?

When Ray O’Brien’s world is turned upside down, Katie Fairchild wants to help, but the personal cost is high. Neither desires a marriage of convenience, but when Katie blurts the first thing that comes to her mind Ray can’t dismiss her offer of marriage. It would solve all his problems except for one thing—they aren’t in love.

Can these two friends team up for the greater good and perhaps find love along the way, or are their expectations impossible?

I just started writing the prequel for this book which will be in a Christmas collection with nine other contemporary Christian romance books.

My next new release will come out in June. I’m super excited because it’s a romantic mystery–not to be confused with a cozy murder mystery. I’ll tell you more about it in the months to come.

For now, I’d love to hear about what you are reading.
